With SLIM, great effort has been made to provide the most efficient source code possible for 8/16-bit MCUs, through careful code analysis and optimization. Developers can also custom configure SLIM to include only the options they require, thereby further eliminating unnecessary code. Embedded systems are by their very nature specialized, and SLIM makes the creation of a specialized system as easy as possible.
By minimizing the code footprint and, on some platforms, writing key parts in assembly language, performance is improved, and the best possible receive and transmission rates are achieved, with minimum MCU load.
SLIM also limits the use of internal copy functions, resulting in maximum throughput with minimal load on the processor.
